With just a few clicks, you can:

Assign a STAT Care Type in the Study Properties window.

Highlight the study row immediately on the Studies page.

Trigger an automatic email or SMS alert to the reading group. No delay, no manual follow-up.

The best part? This feature can be enabled in minutes. All it takes is administrator approval, and your team will be up and running with rapid notifications that prioritize patient care.

Custom Alerts for Every Level of Urgency

Care Types aren’t just for STAT reads. They offer a flexible, visual, and automated way to categorize and monitor studies based on urgency:

Inpatient Studies: Trigger alerts after 1 hour.

Outpatient Studies: Trigger alerts after 1 day.

Custom Care Types: Set your own timing and color-coded highlights.

With Care Types in place, studies that reach their time limit will appear in your chosen color (red, yellow, etc.) on the Studies page, making it easy to spot what needs attention right now.

Automated Notifications for Improved Workflow

In addition to visual cues, Studycast provides automated email and text notifications based on the alert times associated with each Care Type. These include real-time alerts when an individual study becomes overdue and scheduled summary emails that list all overdue studies with assigned Care Types. These notifications can be sent directly to the reading physician or a designated reading group, helping ensure that no urgent case is overlooked.

Setup is Simple

Admins can easily enable and define Care Types in just a few steps from the Admin tools. Once defined, users can then assign Care Types on a per-study basis from the Study Properties window and select the type they need.

You can even create Filter Favorites to quickly view all STAT or urgent studies on the Studies page.

Smarter Care, Faster Reads

With Studycast Care Types, your team gains a powerful tool to triage studies, reduce delays, and enhance communication between technologists, administrators, and physicians.
