In any Studycast worksheet, you can define the default values that are selected for a new exam.<\/p>\n

Below are the steps to let Studycast support know what default values are preferred by your facility, so they can be setup for your Studycast account.<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 Create a New Study<\/h3>\n

Log in to your Studycast account. On the Studies<\/strong><\/span> page, select New Study<\/span><\/strong> in the bottom left corner to open the Create New Study<\/strong> <\/span>window.<\/p>\n

Enter the required information, choosing the study type of the worksheet that you want to set the default values for. We recommend choosing a name that makes it clear that this is not a real study. Select Create<\/strong> <\/span>to create the new study.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Enter the Desired Values<\/h3>\n

Locate and open the new study. Enter the desired default values into the needed fields. You can enter values for any fields that you need to set default values for, and any fields that aren’t needed can be left blank.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Default values can be set for any study type. Currently, only the Nuclear Cardiac worksheet supports setting default values per Protocol<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

After entering the desired values, select Save<\/strong> <\/span>at the bottom of the screen. We suggest leaving the study in the New status to make it clear that the study is for demonstration purposes only.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Capture the Worksheet<\/h3>\n

Before reaching out to Studycast support, make sure to collect the worksheet’s default values by copying the Study ID<\/strong> <\/span>at the top of the worksheet, or from the worksheet’s URL.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Contact Studycast Support<\/h3>\n

Once you have created the worksheet, entered all the needed values, and captured the needed information, you are ready to contact support. From within the worksheet, select Support<\/strong> <\/span>at the top of the screen to open the Studycast Support<\/strong> <\/span>window. Fill out the form, including the phrase “Worksheet Default Values” in the Email Subject<\/span> <\/strong>field and the including the Study ID in the Message<\/span> <\/strong>field, then click Submit<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Studycast support team will receive the request and use the values in the study to set the defaults for that study type. A team member will contact you if they have any questions, and will notify you once the default values are set.<\/p>\n

We are starting Q2 with a series of updates that will put more control than ever in the hands of our clients. The first of these updates, released on April 29, will be an update to the Additional Comments functionality in Studycast. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

For those who may not be familiar, Additional Comments enable users to create personalized statements, outside of the generated findings and conclusions statements in the worksheets. The April 29 release will make it even easier for users to personalize the documentation of imaging reports, while allowing administrators to maintain control over the quality and consistency of the verbiage used.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Additional Comments can be used in any field with a gear icon on the right side of the input field.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Users can continue to access and create Additional Comment list items right in the Studycast worksheets \u2013 that will all stay the same. However, with this new update, you will also be gaining some new tools! <\/span><\/p>

Admin users will now have the ability to manage access to Additional Comments at a more granular level, with the Create additional comments<\/b> permission. Users without this permission<\/span>\u00a0will still be able to use Additional Comments that are associated with the current study\u2019s reading group, but they will not be able to edit or add to the existing list. They will be limited to selecting and applying Additional Comments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Comments can now be grouped within the list, which allows for a faster, cleaner experience. These groups will be visible both in the editor (shown below), and in the select lists.<\/span><\/p>

For Studycast users who are account administrators, this update will be immediately visible in the admin tools.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The new Additional Comments section of the admin tools will enable admin users to manage comments more efficiently. <\/span>The selection fields at the top of the page enable filtering and searching to streamline the management of comments and lists.<\/span> Comments can be grouped or reordered with a simple drag-and-drop interface.<\/span><\/p>

From this page, lists of comments can be assigned to new reading groups, or removed from existing reading groups. The comments within lists can be updated, added, or removed, as well.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
